Hunter College graduate, NYS certified teacher, and experienced private tutor based in Forest Hills, Queens.
I work with students from early elementary through high school, providing individualized support in literacy, mathematics, writing, reading comprehension, homework organization, study skills, and test preparation, including the SHSAT, Regents Exams, Hunter Test, ISEE, and SCAT.
I also advise families on NYC school placement and admissions, including Gifted & Talented programs and the middle school application process. I have experience supporting students with IEPs, ADHD, autism, anxiety, and a variety of learning needs.
My approach begins with understanding how each student learns best. I break challenging concepts into manageable steps and use structured routines, visuals, targeted practice, and research-informed strategies based on each student’s strengths and needs. My goal is not only to improve academic performance, but to help students become more confident, motivated, and independent learners.
I earned bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education and Psychology from Hunter College and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Special Education (All Grades) at the Hunter College School of Education. I am bilingual in English and Polish.
Families choose to work with me because I become a trusted part of their child's academic routine. I don't just help students finish assignments, I help them understand what they're learning, build better habits, stay accountable, and feel more confident in school. Parents appreciate that I am reliable, communicative, and invested in supporting the whole child, not just the worksheet in front of us.
